How can I get more traffic to My Blog?

Ive tried the directory, and free forums, classified to advertise. I need new ideas to promote A Blog.

Basically there are two ways to increase traffic to your blog:
1. Pay traffic
2. Organic traffic

I prefer organic traffic because it’s free!
Here’s some tactics to increase traffic for free:
1. Join http://www.technorati.com and set your Blog To ping Technorati.
2. Submit your blog to Google Blog Search at http://Blogsearch.google.com
3. Join a free blog community, http://mybloglog.com which is also owned by Yahoo!
